Get to Know Me
Hi, I’m Alliyah — welcome to Open Body Living.
I’m a wellness practitioner dedicated to helping people build greater body awareness and integrate self-care into their daily lives. By trade, I’m a licensed massage therapist and the owner of Open Body Therapeutics in Phoenix, AZ. If you’re local, I’d love for you to come by and experience one of my intuitive, therapeutic massage sessions designed to help your body slow down, release, and restore.
Beyond the massage room, I’m a lover of interior decorating, creating cozy spaces, and (admittedly) shopping a little too much on Amazon. Over the past few months, so many people have asked me where I get my favorite items — from body tools to home staples — that I decided to put everything in one place. That’s how Open Body Living was born.

Here, you’ll find thoughtfully curated categories:
Body Tools I Love – simple, effective tools to support your body between sessions.
Massage Room Must-Haves – the essentials that create a calming and healing environment.
Self-Care Staples – everyday items that elevate your wellness rituals.
Holistic Home Vibes – little touches to make your home feel warm, grounded, and aligned.
This blog is a reflection of how I live, what I use, and how I support both myself and my clients. Whether you’re here to shop my finds, discover new ways to care for your body, or find inspiration for your own self-care journey, you’re in the right place.
For more tips, self-care practices, and exercises, you can connect with me on Instagram @openbody_lmt and Pinterest @OpenBodyLiving.
I’m so glad you’re here — I hope this space inspires you to nurture yourself a little more every day.
Xoxo Alliyah

Okay, here’s the real scoop: I’m 6’0", I have ADHD and recurring MDD, coffee addict, and I just married my wonderful husband in May 2025. We share our home with two cats and — the newest addition — a Cane Corso puppy who’s keeping life very interesting. 🐾
I also deal with chronic pain in my knees, mid-back, and shoulders (and more, but we don't have time for that). I have had these tall people problem pains since I was in high school, and honestly, my pain is what led me to start working on myself every single day. The foam rollers, massage balls, and tools you see in my Body Tools I Love section? Those are the same ones I use daily to manage pain and feel like myself again.
I’ve been obsessed with skincare since high school (shoutout to teenage me for starting early), and I’m always testing products for my sensitive skin. Basically, if I’ve gone through it, struggled with it, or found something that made life better — I’m going to share my story and pass it along here.
At the end of the day, I’m just a woman figuring it all out like everyone else — and if something I’ve learned can help you, then this whole space is worth it. 💛
